REHEARSAL SCHEDULE IN THE AUDITORIUM FOR HOLLYWOOD IDOL 2016

REMINDER to PERFORMERS HOLLYWOOD IDOL 2016

YOUR PARENTS SIGNED A LETTER INDICATING THAT YOU COULD STAY AFTER SCHOOL ON REHEARSAL DAYS UNTIL 5:00.  EVEN THOUGH STUDENTS WILL BE DISMISSED AT 2:00 ON TUESDAY, MARCH 29, ALL ACTS ARE NEEDED IN THE AUDITORIUM AT 3:30 FOR A FULL RUN-THROUGH OF THIS YEAR’S SHOW; STUDENTS SHOULD REMAIN AT SCHOOL OR LEAVE AND RETURN ON TUESDAY FOR THIS IMPORTANT REHEARSAL.  OTHER REHEARSAL DAYS THIS WEEK REQUIRE THAT STUDENTS STAY FOR REHEARSALS SINCE THE SCHOOL DAY ENDS AT 3:06 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY.  STUDENTS ARE ALSO ASKED TO ATTEND A FRIDAY MORNING REHEARSAL IN THE AUDITORIUM AFTER EATING BREAKFAST IN THE CLASSROOM ON FRIDAY, APRIL 1.  WE ARE ANTICIPATING A GREAT SHOW THIS YEAR.

Information for Hollywood Idol 2016

January 26, 2016

Attached is the list of performers for Hollywood Idol 2016 as selected by the committee who watched the auditions on January 22 and January 15, 2016.  The first list is those performers who will be included in the show.  The second list is the list of performers who will be added to the show if any of the first list performers drop out of the performance.

As agreed in the letter your parents signed, acts scheduled for the show MUST not miss rehearsals.  Group A will rehearse one week and then Group B will rehearse the next week.  Four rehearsals for each group are scheduled.  Groups A and B must rehearse the week of the show, including Tuesday (both Group A and Group B on the auditorium stage), Wednesday (sound, lights and technical rehearsal), Thursday (full dress rehearsal) and the day of the show (at 8:00 A.M. when a full dry-run rehearsal is scheduled before the actual performance later that morning).

Auditions and Rehearsals

Auditions are scheduled for Friday, January 15 and Friday, January 22 (if needed) in Room 503 at 3:30 P.M.  Send music file or link to jcarmicl@lausd.net by Thursday, January 14 for approval--no explicit or suggestive lyrics are permitted.

Acts selected for this year's Hollywood Idol 2016 will be chosen on Tuesday, January 26 and posted on the door of Room 422.  Eight acts are definite for the show lineup and four acts will be listed as fringe, in case there is time for additional acts to be included or if any of the eight acts drop out of the lineup.

Rehearsals are in Room 503 at 3:30 on the following Friday dates (no acts may miss rehearsals per the parent permit letter that was submitted):
